- I don't know about other private ambulance companies, but i know Prompt pays its employees barely above the poverty level. It's a shame these life-savers aren't given a decent wage for what they do. And then maybe they would be able to retain their best quality medics, and not have a constant revolving door of employees. It's all about the profit for that company, and trust me they are raking in the money.

- Every media outlet/weather service says something different. The Weather Channel just said 6-12 inches for Northwest Indiana, with lesser amounts by Chicago. I don't think Al Roker would lie, would he? I guess only time will tell.

- Hobart Chamber Of Commerce: Please do the right thing and DO NOT ALLOW this woman to speak at your luncheon, especially after her racist comments last week. I for one will seriously think twice about patronizing any businesses in your city if she is allowed to speak, and I know many others will too.

- Congrats to Moore. Seems like he was able to accomplish quite a bit in the short amount of time on the job, unlike the last chief who had years to accomplish something, yet who did nothing. Good to see that department finally on the right road forward.
