  3. I read that nonsense when this story came out, blaming Gary on stuff going on in Portage. Ridiculous. I lived in Portage, Mississippi, oops, Portage, Indiana since 1981 and there have been murders going on ever since I remember, 2 in my neighborhood in Capital Estates within about 2 years in the 80's, perpetrators were white, victims white. There was also lots of crime going on back then, most of the criminals were young white kids, how do I know? I knew these idiots first hand. Go to the Porter County Jail now, mostly white. However, it seems the racist/ignorants who live in Portage may think they live in Beverly Hills or Naperville. Beep...Beep Beep Beep Ba Beep Beep....Breaking news...... you don't, and guess what? Portage has always had crime like this going on. You don't like what Portage is becoming... then run for political office, join the police force, move your rear out of the city, shut your mouth, or, Ideally, hop in a time machine and go back to 1950. Good luck.

  4. I'm not a big strip club guy but the issue is whether or not it's over restrictive and whether it impedes these artistic women's right to perform, freedom of speech. Traditionally these places are darkly lit, it ads to the ambiance, how will one be able to see a performer's artistic rendition of Motley Crue's "Looks that Kill" from six feet away? What about senior's, they may be hard of seeing! All kidding aside, I wouldn't want to live next to these places either, good luck Laporte.

  6. When I first saw the sentence this lady recieved I thought is was extreme until I read the circumstances. She'll probably only end up doing about 13 years or so (Good time in Indiana) if the Headline is correct of 30 years, I think she received 37 years with 7 suspended it looks like. ONEVIEW, your analysis started out like it was going to go somewhere intelligent then you just jumped right into making no sense, anyways.....2 separate crimes and circumstances = 2 different types of punishment, this lady attempted to rob someone with a knife to the person's throat, the guy in crown point was in a fight with a group of men and used a knife so defend himself (Voluntary Manslaughter in Indiana not Murder, check the statute). ONEVIEW put your energy to something useful, try getting a GED or if you have that go back to school for an associates, you have lots of energy and you can put it to good use if you focus it right, good luck.

  7. Very understandable view you have oneview, however, respectfully the parents probably see things differently. Agreeably, if he were 17 it would be no case at all, however, if the law says 18, then where do you draw the line? 19 years old? 20 years old? There was a case in Georgia years ago where an 18 year old was in a similar situation with a 15 year old girl, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, however the sentence was overturned by the Georgia Supreme Court: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcus_Dixon.

  9. Um, yea, sure. Great idea? People actually read those? Try collecting emails at voting locations and then use this thing called the internet to send these other things called electronic mail. It's free, wastes no paper, and will likely be open by more people that would actually read what will appear as junk mail.

  10. Making this list and $1.50 will get you a bus ride, that's it. Congratulations to all of the "over achievers" who knew someone from the company that sponsored the creation of this incredibly useless group, you can all retire now, you've made it. Ha!
