  1. Thanks for standing for what is right!

  2. Actually, the state does NOT foot all of the bill for the charter schools (the state foots all costs for failed public schools and they don't plain on shutting any of those down very soon - some precious teachers may not have to be let go then - how sad). The state puts out less for charter (and for sure way less for voucher's!) then the state schools. In our area the state run public school receives $12,750 per student. Let's see....$12,750 or $4,500?? Maybe some have been trained too much in the state school failed new math system?

  3. Well said. One thing I don't understand about people who oppose school choice is that they claim public schools loose money from it. Actually the state is the one that has to pay for public schools and the state has to have a budget. Besides the fact that the parents have a choice for a better education, this program is saving the state around $6,000 PER STUDENT enrolled in the voucher program.

By the way....Bobsr....maybe you ought to read the report better. The charter schools that received an F are in areas that the public schools received an F. Maybe....it's the parents!

  4. What about my tax dollars that I want going to the kids? - and not to horrible public education! Nobody agrees totally where their tax dollars goes. For years it has frustrated me that my tax dollars went to a failing system. Quite frankly, I was excited for the changes that Tony Bennett (and our legislatures) made. I hope Ritz gets no where in pulling our school backwards again.

  5. The outrage is real, but not because of a stupid movie. There are hundreds of movies out there on YouTube, etc. The outrage is because they HATE America. We need a President with some strength who will stop apologizing for who we are - the greatest nation on earth - America!

  7. The craziest part of the article was the statement that it is the voucher's fault. So now it's bad that our kids can get a better education from the money we put out ourselves through our taxes? Competition is always good and more money doesn't equal better education.

  8. I'm going with Mourdock! Lugars too old. Mourdock is for cutting the spending and that's what I'm for also. I have to cut spending at home - don't you think it is about time someone stood up the the machine in Washington that keeps on spending?
