  1. It seems to me,that every comment made on these stories either has something to do with: Racism or Politics. Death has no race,nationality or color. It comes in all shapes,sizes and ages. What's wrong with you people?. Do you get a kick out of posting comments that have nothing to do with the subject?. Your kids are probably out selling drugs and robbing old folks as I speak. (Or) Sitting back waiting on YOUR Social Security Check,so you can give them half of it (Because) You are actually afraid of your own kids,so you blame good parents for their: "Kids Gone Wild". A parent can be absolutely perfect as far as raising their kids to be good kids AT HOME; (But!). There is always a "Wild Child" some where out there who's gonna try to get that kids attention. (I ask you!) "Do YOU know where your kids are?.

  2. I have lived in East Chicago,for 32 of my 56 years of life,and I find it odd,that the Mayor does'nt make his appearances publicly known. I can pick up a newspaper,or go on this site,to see that he made a public speaking: :Yesterday".!!!!. (I mean?) It seems that only the folks who live in; "The Harbor",know where he's going to be speaking. Mayor Copeland needs to spread himself out!. "The Harbor" is his hometown,and it seems that this is the only community in EC,that he cares about. A word of advice to you Mr. Mayor: (1) Everybody in EC needs to know your plans for this city. (2) You need to go back to school,and take a course on: "Public Speaking". I myself am very tired of you always talking about your wife and mother-in-law. To sum it all up?. Your Jokes are also not funny!.

  6. I got married in 1975 at the age of 18. My husband was verbally abusive,and I just screamed right back at him!. One summer day on a Saturday back in 1989,I guess he got tired of me screaming back at him,and decided to choke me until I blacked out,(But!) When I came out of it,I chased his butt up and down the street with a butcher knife. He made the mistake of stopping,and thought he was going to take the knife from me (NOT!). I slashed 4 of his fingers!. He was walking around with his hand bandaged. It looked like a bowling ball was there!. That following Monday morning: I was at the Court House filing for divorce,and it was granted in Feb 1990. (The moral of this story is). If you get hit once,you'll get hit twice,and the hits will get harder and more severe than the last hit. It was the first,and last time he ever put his hands on me!. Been divorced for 23 years now,and have never had another man put his hands on me!. (It ain't gonna happen)

  7. Why is it,that every time something tragic happens,people like you always find something negative to say?. (I mean) Have you never lost a loved one?. Do you know what it feels like when some else has?. (OK) So maybe he's been to court numerous times,but does that justify his death?. Are you saying that now that he's passed on,that you don't have to pick up another news paper (OR) Break your neck to be the first to post your negativity "Per the Lake County on-line docket?. Maybe the world is a little crazy!. It's people like you who keep us: "Crackin-Up". (Get a Life,before YOU start staring death in the face). Not so pretty! HUH?

  10. Let me tell you something about "Homeless People". They are not afraid of anyone,or anything!. They are survivors in ways that we can't imagine going through. They will protect the areas they occupy,and do not want to socialize with anyone!. They are always: "Watching their Backs". It is them against the world. MY ADVICE IS: (1) Don't talk to or approach them. (2) Don't offer them food or money. (3) They always carry some type of weapon.They need to protect themselves,because they always fear someone will try to harm them. The average homeless person receives "Food Stamps,Disability and or a SSI income. (Trust Me!). They are not just "Out There". They choose to spend this on alcohol or drugs,and will eat from trash cans. I hope that "Vanderwerf" will pull through this situation,and for those of you who know who "Tony" is,then you probably know where he hangs out. Do the right thing,and contact the police,because this situation will more than likely happen to someone else. (Thank You!)
