  2. The Times, that endorsed for president, the bullying, lying, tax dodging, draft dodging, dog abusing, job killing Bishop, now follows in the footsteps of the Righty Chicago Tribune who also eliminated convenient posting of comments.
    Five of nine letters in "Letters To The Editor" today are Righty slanted BS and some of the writers deserve to be called Goobers, Bobbleheads, Duhs!, Tea Stoners, Gun Bangers, Bubbas, and Racist.
    Undoubtly more of the repetitive misinformation and displays of hatred will continue to be published by the Times. 
    I would have no problem posting my name with any comment make. It would stop a lot of ignorant postings. 

    The readers comments on the First Baptist Church of Hammond scandal involving their diisgraced pastor, Jack  Schaap, were informative, interesting and added significantly to the whole story.  Perhaps readers comments could be restricted to certain stories.

  5. The "Nanny" countries of Europe, like Germany and the Nordic countries, are starting to make the US look like a third world country in the way they treat the middle class. They have free healthcare, free education, live longer, and retire with more.
    God gave us free will to do whatever we want. It is clear that some countries in Europe are using their free will in a positive way to better the lives of their citizens in contrast to what the "Party of Family Values" have done to the middle class starting with Regean.

  7. Gasoline prices were higher under the Shrub. The quicker we reduce our use of petroleum the better. Not going to happen as long as the oil owned Republithugs keep blocking green energy the same way they are blocking job creation.

  9. Ban assault weapons, pass a law requiring every gun to be registered, do background checks and whatever else needed to eventually reduce gun murders and slaugthers. The righty argument that we need guns to protect us from the most powerful military in the world is a joke. They need to get off of the tea.
    Get big money involved. Require home insurances, at no extra policy cost, to pay for any damage and harm committed with a gun by the owner and by anyone living there.
    Provide shock weapons for teachers instead of guns. Cops use them, why not teachers? Probably would tick off gun manufactures.
     Still waiting for that story about that mommy who saved her family with an assault weapon.
