- If it has been almost 20 years and he has not committed any new crimes, hasn't he proven himself to be safe in society? I would surmise that most people on the registry are of no threat either. It is just a waste of taxpayer money in the big business of sex offender management costing taxpayers over $500,000,000 per year.
