Take the new licence plate readers; they say the $500,000 cost is worth it because it catches or monitors sex offenders in the neighborhood. Soon, it will be used to catch former drug users, alcoholics, wife beaters, people with mental health issues, GUN OWNERS.

If it has been almost 20 years and he has not committed any new crimes, hasn't he proven himself to be safe in society? I would surmise that most people on the registry are of no threat either. It is just a waste of taxpayer money in the big business of sex offender management costing taxpayers over $500,000,000 per year.
