I wouldn't blame ISG or LTV for the current mess, Indiana Harbor East or Old Inand is currently losing about 22 million a month and something has to be done soon. ISG has about a 225/nton profit on substrate or produced slabs. Expect sweeping consolidation in the next contract or massive lockout! I expect a steel shop, finishing mill, and two blast furnaces to idle by 2015 and thats just on the East side. It will be worse than this though, we will be locked in and you will be locked out until you guys agree to some wage/work rules restructuring!

It's about time! I hate leaving the beach on Sunday and driving to New Buffalo for more beer! I'm glad someone is standing up to the god lovers and bible thumpers! Indiana should be like Ohio where you can buy cold beer at a gas station!

It doesn't matter what the charges were or what they stole from the homeowner. The judicial system in Laporte is so overburdened and the jails are overcrowded, these kids will get something like 6 years probation and a slap on the wrist. They will be enrolled in a circus act called drug court and when they drop out, they will be free to run the streets again and buy heroin in chicago........

He was full of generosity without a doubt, although so is his accuser who still hasn't learned any valuable life lessons. She learned the hard way by following in the footsteps of her sister and i'm sure her mother's big mouth didn't help this situation any.

I sure feel bad for Lee Sr. and his entire family, what an embarassment to have a Principal with philanthropic behaviors in the same school where his daughter attends. There is something amiss here, first the issues with Lincoln and now Lee? Is there a deep family secret?

Cardriver you are slightly confused.....there are few operations on the Eastside that are remotely profitable, the bar mill being one of them. #7 BF and possibly the 80" Hot MIll are the only units worth keeping at IHE. The old Inland can't match the cost per ton of Burns Harbor, Cleveland and IH West...
