  1. I feel the same way about "that" teacher. She is so sarcastic to those students. I have been told by my daughter some of the things she says and her mannerisms and tone she uses is horrible. I think she is a bully herself.

  2. OMG! My daughter is in the same class and I also feel the same way about her teacher! My daughter has told me the things she has said and the way she says things to her and her classmates and I truly believe this teacher is extremely sarcastic with 5th graders.

  3. My daughter was the one this child texted when she left and told her why she left. I called to find out how my child was involved in the situation since she was called into the office. So I think since my child was involved, and btw, she is not the bully, I think I have the right to be told by school about what happened. In fact, my child was the one who went to guidance a few weeks ago to get this bullying to stop since they all hang out together and she couldn't take it anymore.

  4. This kid was NOT bullied just for his ethnicity. He opened up his mouth. He posted rap videos on YouTube about killing certain kids and he named them. I watched the videos before they were taken off. So again, two sides of the story. If he couldn't take the heat, keep your mouth shut.

  5. First of all I am not condoning bullying. However, my daughter goes to school with this girl, I have read some of her texts and they are by no means things that a 10 year old should be saying. Luckily, my daughter has a "whatever" attitude with stuff like this. So, as Dark Cloud has said, two sides to every story.

Gemini and Hobartteacher-thanks for your input. Wonderfully explained. I couldn't agree more.

Parents usually side with their child and think they do no wrong. However, I am not one of them. I would have been livid to find out my child chose to walk out of school before going to an adult. Thank goodness nothing happened to her. If there is ever a problem, the first thing I do is ask my kids, what they did. Parents shouldn't be blind when it comes to their kids. Remember what you did at this age?

Also, she gave the office a different story of why she left; and it had nothing to do with bullying. Hmmm,?
