  1. This is all about limiting the freedom of speech at a time when the Democrats are pushing through a Lake County Income Tax. The last time this happened in 2007, the Times comments were a way for the opposition to get out its side of the story and organize protests, including the one that resulted in no vote to override the Commissioners veto.

  9. Lake County does have a small advantage over Porter County in that we have no income tax, and Porter has a 1/2% income tax that they waste on the RDA. I am not surprised that Porter County Reps are leading this assault on Lake County taxpayers.

  10. Stop self insuring, and put everyone on a high deductible health insurance plan. That will save more than $15 million, and get a lot of the deadbeats to quit.
