  1. This is another display of greed by administrators who believe their performance is the reason for the school corporations success. This only proves that because LCSC is back in the black, (off the backs of laid off teachers and support staff, I might add) the administrators now have money burning holes in their pockets. Voters have a choice...we elected three board members in the last election: Malchow, Basco and DeVries. With Malchow the only person to vote no to these raises, you have four other reasons to vote no to their re-election when their terms are due to expire. Sorry to say Basco and DeVries are four years away, but Baranowski and Marshall come sooner. Remember this board action, voting public. You have to ask yourselves...when was the last time you received a raise after witnessing many of your fellow employees lose their jobs? This arrogance should affect everyone who goes to work everyday, not just LC teachers and support staff. This is a public entity, NOT the Board and Varraco's fiefdom.

  2. "Corns, who was unsurprised by his rise to the president position"

Sure, why would he have been surprised? It's clear there's a new troika in town. Seems Mr. Parker has a lot of say, but it's strange he wasn't nominated for an executive position... while he sits on the sidelines calling the shots. Could it be "replacing the police chief and cleaning up the police department" as Char states in her post, actually means having an ex-flatfoot now in a position of authority (oops, I mean majority) and is greasing the skids to become Lowell's new police chief? Quite frankly, I wouldn't hire Mr. Parker to be chief dogcatcher. But since you have some clout, why don't you clean up and clear out the illegals who seem to have an in at the plant behind you.

  8. First of all, thank you for your service. Secondly, I want to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Boardman for another unselfish act he, his late wife Nellie and their children committed themselves to, and that was caring for my cousin after my aunt (Nellie's co-worker and friend) passed away. My father was not in any position (nor condition for that matter) to care for my cousin who had Down's Syndrome. I know this kind act was a blessing to my father, who passed away three years after my aunt's passing. This act of kindness has always touched my heart and was and still appreciated. I am not surprised to learn of Mr. Boardman's first desire to become a servant of God. In fact their action now makes more sense to me than it did before. Again, thank you.
