They need to blow at the same time as they swipe their passes to be allowed to work. Its a judgement call by supervisors unless an accident has occurred or personal injury has taken place.

- @ devildog , Well put and I couldn't agree more and I call out that culture every chance I get. Has KFC made amends yet to the people of Griffith yet after calling them all racists ? NO ! Imagine if Visclosky, Pence, Daniels, Mcdermott , Uran made those comments about Gary folks ! They would have to make amends in the paper, take diversity training, make a donation to United Negro Collage fund etc. Notice how the local Democrats walked a silent, fine line after KFW'S remarks. It's a culture ,attitude thing . You see it all around this area , Malls, restaurants, high school events,work place, Is what it is and is not going to get any better. Sorry Mayor of Hammond if I misspelled your name. Not hard to apologize .

- Nice Photo op for upcoming reelections for most of these politicians. These ideas might help in a year or two but will do nothing, absolutely nothing about the guns on the streets now. Interesting to see the Portage Police Chief present, good for him and the residents of Portage. Should have had a whole room full of Police Chiefs in attendance . If these folks spent more than a few minutes discussing gun shows, their lost and don't have a clue. Wonder what kind of ideas they kicked around on making an impact on the guns on the street.
