this is such a terribly sad story, my son goes to school with this boy and i am so sorry for this family, couldnt imagine going through what they are right now. My prayers are with this family. As a kid, i lived for days like yesterday to ride the waves, it wasnt til i was around 18 playing out there one day in the waves and decided to go into the beach, the current was so strong that i actually ended up about a quarter mile down, later that evening i heard of drownings and i developed the respect for that powerful body of water, as adults all we can do is educate our children on the dangers of that lake and paying attention to wind patterns, some people just are not that familiar with those waters, some just ignore it, alot dont realize that standing on the sandbar on a day like yesterday is almost one of the worst places you can be. I really pray for this family, i couldnt imagine dealing with this, this summer ive had arguments with my son about going to the beach, i just wont let him go there, i remember how i was at that age.
