Anemic property tax collections? Look at all the properties in Gary that the sheriff advertises on the delinquent tax section in the papers. And most of the inmates are from Gary. Every wonder what this county would be like if there were no Gary?

If Griffith needs $20,000 for a police dog it's because of the Mansards. Let the ghetto dwellers pay for it. Merrillville recently enacted a $100 annual fee for each apartment unit. Why does the Griffith town council refuse to do the same?

Exactly.......These murdering gang bangers will keep killing in Gary. There have been murders in broad daylight on neighborhood streets but no one steps forward as a witness. Why would they want a job when they can peddle drugs, move in with grandma and live off Gary's welfare factory. You can have all the marches, rallys, prayer meetings and speeches by loud mouth politicians, NOTHING WILL CHANGE. It's Gary's cultural way of life.

This story by the Times sickens me. Another "Oh look how good they are doing in prison story" Just like the story the Times did a few years ago about the "Shotgun killer" Peterson .
