1. Demographics indicate that it is adult education most needed in meeting the change in our workplace. What part of the Commission's recommendation addresses getting education and accreditation to adults burning the candle at both ends to keep this country moving. It is absurd to think that making financial aid dependent upon 4-year graduation or a minimum of 30 credit hours per year is anything but exclusion of the very people who need education the most and for the most part pay for funding of higher education tuition or taxes. Eliminating college credit residency requirements, facilitating lifetime learning credits, and recognizing a four year degree is made up of credits, not a institutional rubber stamp should be the goal of the Indiana Commission of Higher Education. We need a people's advocate to stand up to the inflexibility and greed of higher education institutions which it fact paid for by the people.

4. Over reaching proposal to rein in politicians who do not work as representatives. Simply require that; 1) no politician may accept salary or perks unless specifically approved by the constituency, 2) election funds must come exclusively from the constituency, and 3) the constituency is defined as voters living within the specific political boundary being represented.

6. I too have convictions and from them speak with certainty. In another time and place either Don and I would have had to be at odds each other. Silenced through ostracism, brain wash, shot, burned, or hanged. Yet the foresight of humble men and women gave us liberty to live together in peace if we chose.
