Yes, charter schools have a lottery. However, the process for expelling a student and providing due process is the same as any other public school.

Since charter schools operate on state and federal funding they have to follow the same guidelines as other public schools. Which means, they can NOT, I repeat, CAN NOT pick there students. Students apply and positions are offered either through a lottery or a first come first serve wait list. Wouldn't it be great if people actually looked in laws, rules, regulations and guidelines about charter schools before they furthered all of the misconceptions?

As I mentioned before, a quick search you would find that CSOD management company is a not for profit organization. Voucher programs do not even apply towards charter schools because they are public schools not private. To the thought that charter schools do not have to hire licensed teacher is another myth that people like to further when in fact we are just as accountable an any other public school because we operate using state/federal funds. This means the same testing requirements, the same licensing requirements, etc.

You are slightly misinformed. While some charter EMOs (educational management companies) are for profit, not all are. For example, CSOD management company is a not for profit EMO (something a quick Google search would have turned up).
