- Volunteers are down due to lack of need because the shelter is so clean now...yet they still need volunteers? Why not stop turning them away, and start assigning them OTHER duties in the shelter....like walking the dogs? The truth of it is, volunteers are down because they are sick of the B.S. that is going on in that shelter...still. And how about this....after taking time out of our days to raise money for the shelter recently, I sought out the director to personally hand over the money to him. We didn't even get a thank you. He grabbed it, and shoved it into his pocket. Chances are, that money never saw the inside of that shelter. I won't raise money for them ever again.

- Wow, the lack of grammar and elementary school spelling there gave me a headache! If your mother was BEST friends with her, for over 30 years, you expect us to believe she didn't know where she lived? They didn't just move into that trailer last week, for pete's sake. The problem was that Crystal was taking her mothers medication, not that she was giving it to her to keep her "sedated". And your stories contradict themselves....first she is sedated, but then she is conscious enough to speak on the phone. No, the kids weren't injected with drugs....if they were, Crystal would have a lot more claims against her. Sounds like you should probably get your facts straight before posting all of your uneducated rubish online for others to see. I'm not defending Crystal in any way. I, too, feel she should rot for what she has done. But maybe you should find out more about the case before you spew these kinds of allegations online. So many people have to be the "first and most informed" in situations, when in reality, all they know is hearsay....and are usually completely misinformed. One could ask you, and your mother, if you knew the kids and the grandmother were being INJECTED with drugs....why did you do nothing? If she had been arrested recently for theft, the police would have an address on file for her.

- The family had been reaching out for help for a long time. Crystal was a drug user and was very good at hiding just how bad things were, as most drug users are. Who is to say the grandparents even went over to that house. How do you know that visiting with the kids didn't happen at the grandparents house? No, things didn't happen overnight. But when you reach out, over and over, for help...only to be told there is nothing anyone can do...your hands are tied.

- DHS is doing a complete investigation. Knowing the grandparents personally, I am confident that they will do what is in the best interest of the girls. What matters most is that right now they are in a safe, loving environment until everything can be sorted out and long term decisions made.

- Drugs were very much involved here. Crystal has been addicted to drugs for a very long time, including taking those that were prescribed to her "ailing mother". Many of us tried to get here help, but were hit with road block after road block because she was "over 18". It never should have gotten to this point. Failed system at work again.
