  2. Progressive, nobody on the Lansing Village Party ticket had anything to do with the ad's that ran in the Times. And before you imply anything, neither did I.

The group of people (some Lansing residents & some business owners) who paid for the ad out of their pocket, infomed him the day before the ad ran.

  6. Frankiezee……if you’re going to talk $hit about my family, at least have the guts to use your real name. Normally I wouldn’t give someone the time of day but you’ve crossed the line trying to speak for my mother!!

My father has worked all his life and wasn’t handed anything by my Grandparents. So flipping what who he married and what she had or didn’t have. He started at Schultz Insurance 5 years after they married. He worked his way through the business. My mother started working at the business after high school until she had me. She was still doing certain accounting work for the business until her unexpected death in 2006 at 64 years old.

Growing up my parents invested in rental houses. I remember as a kid, my father working every weekend on homes they purchased to rent out. I remember my mom, brother and I bringing lunch to him, helping clean up a little and coming back home. My parents have never lived beyond their means. Something they instilled in my brother and I growing up.

When he won the election in 2009, he told me he was going to donate his salary back into the village. I suggested he set up a new checking account just for his Mayor’s’ pay. His checks are direct deposited into that account. He has donated his mayor’s salary back to many local organizations, churches, and schools. He also makes donations anonymously.

For the last 4 years I have listened to how this village was run, the astonishing figures and the amount of waste. If we ran our business that way, we would have been out of business long ago. He has been trying to get this village back into financial shape since he took office. He takes this job seriously and isn’t doing it for the money or accolades. The reason you don’t see his name all over the welcome signs. He’s doing it strictly for the love he has for this town.

Do NOT pretend to know what MY mother would have and would not have approved of. My mother hated politics and all the phony bull$hit, just like YOUR comment. But she would have been right there being his biggest supporter.

If she HAD lived to see him run for Mayor and get elected, she would have been just as proud as my brother and I are of what my Dad has done for this village. My brother and I know we will never be ashamed by the work he has done or the decisions he has had to make while being the Mayor.

So before you stick your foot in your mouth and call MY MOTHER the “only child of rich folks”, my Grandparents worked hard for what they had and were generous people. My parents followed down the same path.

I have to assume you weren’t a friend of my parents as a real friend wouldn’t leave the pathetic comment you left. I hope when you left your comment, it made you feel real good about yourself.

  7. The Times DID print it wrong. My Dad read the article in the paper and his comment was "the amounts are wrong. That's not what I said."

  8. You sure can talk a lot of #@#@ with that fake name. You must not have much of a spine. You sound very disgruntled. You do realize what an idiot you sound and look like with your inaccurate hatred ranting and rambling not to mention your misspelled words, right? It must be exhausting to go around with that much hate. Wait!!! You work in the Village Hall, don’t’ you?? THAT’S why you can’t use your name. Oh, by the way, my brother and I have too much of our junk in the basement. There’s no room for a box of spines down there.

  9. I know nothing about any Emerald Ash problem in Lansing, so I can’t comment on that.

Schultz Insurance (by the way, notice the CORRECT spelling of the name), the mayor does not “confer” with our insured’s as to the well-being of the village. Schultz Insurance has nothing to do with ANYTHING in this article. Your comments about my agency are completely incorrect and libel.

Lastly, as for you saying we’re left holding (I’m sorry, “holdin”) “the bag of #@#@# he still owns” because we didn’t sell out to Ho-Chunk. Ho-Chunk gave my parents an earnest check for the properties and they never cashed it because they weren’t interested in selling the properties. Which, by the way, are NOT “bag’s of #@#@#” as you wrote. Again, libel.

Next time don’t stand behind a fake name when you want to talk #@#@#@, use your real name!!
