$200,000 per unit, for 60 homeless people, well what do we expect. We are the only country in the world where a majority of our "poor" people are obese. Does anyone really believe that the Government is the guardian of the taxpayer's money.

None of the articles having to do with the food banks mention anything about whether those who are getting the food are also on food stamps and or township support. Be interesting to know.

When these stories appear involving multiple DUI's the newspaper should print the names of the prosecutor who signed the sweetheart plea agreements and the judges who accepted them. Maybe that would slow down those kind of plea agreements. Also since Lake County judges do not have to run for office there is no opponent to expose their acceptance of these pleas. That might be a good reason to vote against retaining any of them.

I think we should have learned by now that the best thing to do is to demolish the properties, recycle what we can and leave the rest to private developers.
