Thats the exact problem, grown men acting like children. They walk onto a department for two years and think they are owed something. Like i stated in a recent post both this guy and this Jeffery Tucker have a combined experience on the department of what eight years? Why is it that this firefighter was removed from the crown point fire department? I'm gonna bet my paycheck is NOT FOLLOWING ORDERS FROM HIGHER COMMAND LIKE HE DID HERE. Firefighters belong on department's not whinny children.

Right back to square one with you, I KNOW WHAT GOES ON IN HFD AS I KNOW MANY OF YOU. So quit booing and hooing about your job and the fire chief. Tom Castle is a veteran and i know that and we are are grateful for his service to this country. We will not mistake that. Instead of talking smack here on the times do something about your chief instead of making excuses. Tom castle is a poor representative of your union. He is a pot stirrer. So move on with your values and morals of what you think. Quit whining and DO YOUR JOB!

Slander: is false, and defamatory statement or report. Slander or not, using words that you think people use or don't use, "the respect of the chief it seems, needs to earn the trust and respect of his men, what????? Do you think he got in this position by winning a lottery ticket! Why don't you just go to work(at whatever Hobart fire station you work at) AND DO YOUR JOB! All these fireman just complained about staffing. In my eyes you cannot put enough firefighters and police on the streets. Public safety is number one in my eyes. But going to meetings,especially union meetings is not your job when you are at work! Shop and do business in your areas while on duty. YOU ARE ON DUTY IN AN AREA FOR A REASON, Not to go to a meeting,play games, or jack around, its to protect the people in your area. Not all the firetrucks sitting @station 1 for a meeting and leaving the rest of the city hanging for your "meeting"is fire protection or good public service for that matter. No one said anything about getting this or that when you go out, so don't put words in peoples mouths. Most firefighters in this county are getting it worse!

Last time I checked the Fire Chief is in charge of what goes on at his stations. Tom Castle should be suspended from the department for slander. If i went to my job and slandered my boss in the newspapers i would expect to be suspended. SHOW SOME RESPECT CASTLE! The people in Hobart don't pay the on duty firefighters of the city to go to Union meetings, they pay them to stay and protect their areas they are assigned to, not station 1's area. @ sniper the common denominator here is showing some RESPECT FOR A FIRE CHIEF.

You guys crack me up...ulock...you are defiantly a former vol. firefighter im sure. Grow up. The Fire Department saves your LIVES. Last time you went to a town meeting???????? Did you see the hours of time all those volunteers donate...Which have full time jobs, and you criticize the money the town is spending on air packs for these great men? THESE ARE TO SAVE YOUR FAMILY AND MINE. HOW DARE ANY OF YOU!!!! So when the "crummy" volunteers "as you say" cant go home to their families because of equipment woes, you ask yourself in the mirror the same question. THIS IS IF THEY ARE CONTRACTED OR NOT!. Next time you go to a meeting ask yourself to why we spend more money on the parks department than we do on OUR OWN PUBLIC SAFETY!

Oh Politico, IM sure its your run down house...dont blame the water for your stinky house or your poor pluming in your run down house. If it was liquid vile, or what you said, you hold a glass of tap water to the light and there is stuff floating around in it is most certainly false you junkyard manager. Want to know why???? Because if that was the fact, anyone that seen "stuff" floating in their water would of made people aware of it instead of opening up their suck hole and talking smack. Why don't you make the town and papers aware your finding stuff in your water?...that's right because you are a LIAR!!!!!
