- I drive this piece of road every day. With all the ISP in this strip lately, I find it hard to believe there was no squad car in the area to help with the traffic or to warn drivers. The crash looks horrible. There was no need for the The Time to include the piece about the alcohol. Even without the alcohol, this accident probably couldn't have been avoided. With all the cameras linked up to 80/94, hopefully they will review the tape and find the semi driver who kept going.

- Really? Trivial things or not, you break the law, you serve time. Period. If these idiots get away with the trivial things, it leads to more crime. Then you all will be upset that a person who was arrested previously got out and did another crime. Which one will it be? There is no need for an animal shelter that cost 2.9 million. Instead, there needs to be policies or laws implemented in regards to the animal population. People can breed and breed without limitations and this needs to stop. People are also very careless with their pets and then we have unwanted mutts running everywhere that the county is responsible for caring for. I don't have a budget solution but when it comes to ensuring the safety of the jailers, I say we find the money and open the extra pod. Porter County has more money than they want us residents to believe.
