I am sure the responsible employees of the Lincoln Center will make sure an off duty Highland Police officer will be at the door during any wedding, reunion, or special event that will be held at the banquet hall. Having a cut off time for an open bar makes sense, and the increase in brides and grooms, and other parties wanting to rent the beautiful banquet facility will work out just fine. Other communities in northwest indiana rent out their banquet halls at the parks departments I am sure. Correct me if i am wrong, but I dont recall reading about unruly, drunken, out of control patrons attending a wedding or party at any NWI community banquet hall. Right now, the banquet facility sits empty more than it is rented out for weddings and other special events. Lets market the beautiful, newly renovated Lincoln Center Banquet Hall!!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOO...if only the "real reasons" could be revealed! And your right northwood....it starts with "SUPERWOMAN". It once was stated that Highlands WOULD NEVER be hired at the parks dept again....LOL LOL LOL....left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing!!! Happy Dave could keep the seat warm for Highlands and increase the sports program revenue from only $9000 a year to over a balance of $100,000 in the sports account. GLAD FOR YOU DAVE...that you are out of that viper pit!!! On to replacing Terry and Vicky as admin assistants now.....what a shame the dismantling that is going on!

So happy for you Dave!!! Thanks for your 5 years at the parks department thru some trying times. At least you gave it a shot with the "new sheriff". Now AJ and Mrs. OOO can hand pick someone, and say..."well it was posted, but HE fits the qualifications perfectly!" HA....here we go again...back on the parks department merry-go-round. Did anyone ever find out why the recreation director put in her letter of I QUIT...was gone for a week...then suddenly appeared back at her job?? What a mess that department is! ON TO BETTER THINGS DAVE....GOOD LUCK!!

I agree Big Giant Head!!! OOOO Mrs. OOOO.....theres a new sheriff in town huh??? Why don't you start engaging the kids and residents in helping your poorly staffed maintenance department...and let them take responsibility for THEIR skate park!!! Maybe if you WORKED with the kids that want to use the skate park and treat them with some RESPECT....they in turn would RESPECT the skate park they worked on!!!!! By the way.....how much management experience DO YOU HAVE MRS. OOOO??? Here we go again...the parks department is a joke!
