  2. It seem that great progress has been made since Harper was booted out by the voters. I think the Animal Control function should be the responsibility of the Sheriff's office. This is an enforcement issue, where the health and safety of people comes first. The Sheriff should protect people, and let the Animal Shelter see that animals are treated humanly. When Harper ran Animal Control it was a county-wide joke, and worse, people were at risk.

  3. As a citizen. I have had dealings with Sheriff Lain concerning dog control issues in the past. He was always professional, and deserves our support. I'm sure if he is asking for money it will be well spent. Animal control is an important part of public safety.
