  2. well then you are very fortunate that your property has not been bothered. You need to thank the Griffith Police and residents for that. We are striving to keep and maintain a positive, safe home envriornment for all residents. Next time stop by the library and do reearch on the town and you will surprised how crime is rising. This is a serious issue. I am quite sure you love and enjoy to live in a safe neighborhood, knowing that you can leave your home and come home and it not been broken into. Count your blessings!

  3. surfergrl- stop making excuses for these kids. We all have choices in life, and this is the life that they want and enjoy. Education is an opportunity that we have in this country and we should cherish this. As for crime, it only leads to a sad life and makes you do things that you can't turn back time. Live each day with gratitude.
    Hope you find peace in your heart.I just have one question for you. So why aren't you living in Gary or East Chicago if you so approve of this behavior.

  4. Yes, people have the right to live where their heart contents but do not bring your old bad lifestyle to a quiet safe neighborhood. I hope you can understand every Griffith resident frustation when they seeing or hear of crimes escalating in our town.
    In July there was a murder at the Mansards and followed by a police chase. Luckily no one got hurt during the speed chase. Resident are just concerned Hawaiian Surfer that is all. They been around for a long time and they just don't want to see another Gary. That is all. Find peace in your heart!

  6. To my understanding of the Mansard residents are from Hurricane Katrina and some projects from Chicago that were torn down. I just would like to know why do they get Section 8 housing. I work 2 jobs to make ends meet and going to school to get my master degree. I have made sacriices to live in the nice environment that I do. So why do they feel it is they have the right to ruin neighborhoods.
