- You know acesandates, you are right, I do think small. From Oak Knoll Golf Course as a teen-age laborer in the early 60's to the White House. What a tale that would be.

- I read a thread of comments a few days ago where someone spoke of Larry Blanchard as a Tea Party follower who didn't understand the ways of the world. I've know Larry almost 50 years now and a few things about him don't pop up in the paper. He is a Vietnam veteran from the infintry and he witnessed first hand battle and death of his buddies over there. Larry started his political career when Sid Garner passed away. Larry was involved in the fight over the Deep River Water Park from the point of view that government should not get into business to compete against private enterprise. There are those who would say he is wrong in his views and you have that right to say that (thank a vet like Larry for that priviledge). I do believe the only Republican who could ever possibly defeat Visclosky is Larry Blanchard. When I think of politicians, he is the model of honesty, fairness, and integrity. Whatever he chooses to do as a function of government is a benefit for all people, not just those of his political party.
