1. Everyone blames Tony Bennett. The same processes have been in place before Bennett. The problem the the break down of the family unit in America. There is no longer the same support at home that there was 20 years ago. Parents need to push their kids and then the kids will do fine on these tests. Kids need to be pushed by their parents. Teachers need help from the parents.

2. No, the rest of the state is doing well financially and telling lake county that we need to cut the BS garbage. The crooked politicians in Lake county fight it and threaten to cut the critical services rather than the garbage that needs to go. That has been lake county politics for 50 years.

3. No we need to cut the fat. The middle class keeps getting socked with higher and higher taxes and threats that they are going to cut our necessary services. They always threaten to kill the necessary services, never the bloated BS spending that is out of control in lake county. Take a trip to the courthouse some day and see how many of those workers have any clue what they are doing. You could could half the staffing at the courthouse and no one would no the difference. Heck, those offices outsource everything anyway.

4. It is 90% true. Regardless of what the politicians tell you, the middle class just keeps getting socked with more and more tax increases. It is disgusting how lake county sucks the middle class dry. We are one of only 2 counties that did not fully adopt the property tax cap. That is enough tax. Lake county needs to practice responsible spending and appropriate allocation.

5. Again, weather in cyclical. Glaciers covered a larger portion of north america. Lake Michigan extended miles further then it does now. There have always been violent hurricanes. A lot of record high temperatures occured before the world was industrialized. There is some common sense science for you. For every, "scientist" that "proves" global warming there are two scientists that can debunk it.

6. Of course, U.S. Ag secretary says that. He is Obama's cronie. he says what Obama tells him to say. The sequester is just a reduction in the spending increase Obama proposed. It's affects are minimal.

7. Right back at ya'. where is the proof that global warming is man made? The media talks about ice caps melting, record heat, huricanes, blah, blah,blah. The weather is cyclical, that is a proven fact. Glaciers have been growing and receeding for millions of years. Heck Lake Michigan extended all the way to highland a long long time ago. Does that mean there man made global warming back then also.
