1. Lol.... NO DOUBT!!! What next, have them put their names on them??!!! "No, really... you won't be in ANY trouble at ALL *snicker snicker*" - I wondered what the purpose of this "survey" was. Especially after discussing it both prior to and following them administering it with my son and several of his friends. And, guess what?? Bet the clan I discussed it with isn't the only one that didn't take it too seriously... there may be some inaccuracies there. Might be some with some comical artwork, too. Just a hunch....Keep telling them how forbidden everything is - throw them off their teams and raise fear and panic - works like a charm!! They will never go near the stuff again.... duh

  2. I am so glad I didn't have to see the ridiculous comment that prompted this response - glad the Times removed any negativity directed at the hard working fire departments. I was coming here to commend the AMAZING efforts of all the firemen who worked so diligently getting this horrific fire out as quickly as possible and before it could spread and cause GOD knows how much damage or injury. These guys risk their lives, work NON STOP in barely breathable conditions wearing equipment that weighs a ton and heaving gear that most can barely scoot, and some fool WOULD find fault in a photo showing them sitting down. This could have been SO SO much worse. Contained to the building in started in, and not one single injury at all? Impressive, IMPRESSIVE work VFD!!! (and those that assisted!!)

  3. I went back and read comments posted to most of the articles about this case, and though I know this is completely irrelevant to the story I just have to say that YOU ARE AN IDIOT!

  4. Hmmm.... Is that what I said?? I don't think so. Nor did I even suggest it. Did you read the rest of my comment? Perhaps I was SUGGESTING that since the story was plastered all over the paper, members of the jury MAY have already established opinions of his testimony PRIOR to him giving it, ESPECIALLY since it was so recent. The jurors should not be sitting there thinking "Oh yah, I remember reading about that in the paper," because that, along with a multitude of other things, goes against Dustin's 6th amendment rights.

  5. Gimme a break. THIS is their last witness?? And, certainly each of the jurors is already familiar with his story of how Dustin "confessed", being that it was a front page headline just a few weeks prior to the start of the trial. Seems like they are grasping at straws, since the majority of their evidence is circumstantial. And, guess what? Guilty or not, he should be entitled to a fair trial. We can all have our opinions, but our justice system isn't based on morals and opinions. If it were, there would still be "an eye for an eye", jails would be less crowded and trials wouldn't take nearly as long. I feel terrible for Amanda's family, but I hope this jury can be fair and just because according to LAW the prosecution needs to be able to prove his guilt BEYOND reasonable doubt and thus far I think they have failed to do so.

  6. Totally agree... "No evidence that the issue involved Valparaiso High School", yet they felt inclined to conduct a thorough investigation that included student interviews. How did they know who to "interview"(question...) and how did they know where to look for "evidence" - or, WHY would they even be looking for evidence if the facebook posting didn't indicate that the issue involved the high school in the first place?? Was is another slow day at the station??

  7. Okay, seriously.... isn't it slightly unfair to call this guy a "predator"? And there is a BIG difference between MOLESTED and FONDLED. Look at his facebook page... not QUITE the picture that is being painted here. I am not saying that he couldn't have been lurking around, but it is ENTIRELY possible that the girls who were FONDLED might have been older teens that were encouraging him - as the mother of a teenage son, I know first hand what some "adolescent" girls are capable of. I just think before we go labeling this young man some kind of Chester the molester we should probably know all the facts. It is unreal to me how quickly people would cut off this guys balls...

Not 100% that it is the right guy, but pretty safe bet.... if so, he is a pretty smart "perv", huh? Now I am kind of wondering how old the victims were. The term "adolescent" generally describes someone between the ages of 12-17. May be a bit more to this story...

  9. THAT'S what I am saying.... plus, you GOTTA take into consideration the extreme heat and how it can affect people's cognitive thinking skills. Add to that the fact that he is, in fact, a mere 22 years old and frankly may lack the maturity to handle this type of conflict with any kind of poise. Throwing punches could likely have been an immature, knee-jerk reaction to being pointed out as a pedophile.

  10. Are we sure it wasn't an accidental fondling?? That wave pool gets pretty packed when it is this hot out. I can think of a few times that some stranger got to second base on a really crowded day... JUST sayin'.....
