- Fast Ed if the vehicle truly was ran on contaminated gas especially for reasonable amount of time it would effect the timing in the vehicle as well as the fuel components. Also whose not to say that since this lady was driving it around it probably already had a timing issue before the gas was even in the tank I mean it was a 13 year old chrysler that probably had 180,000 miles on the vehicle. Obviously you do not understand that the computers in your vehicle adjust its self to try and correct the problems and keep the vehicle running. If there was contaminated gas in this woman's tank the ECM would adjust the timing on the vehicle to try and correct possible misfires. People think Auto Technicians are out to rip them off no matter what but yet they will take their vehicle to Joe Blows auto repair instead of a reputable dealer that knows about their vehicle mostly because they do not want to pay the extra few bucks for real service yet they pay for it in the long run.

- The DNR is talking about this because they handle all recreational laws and any type of recreational accidents that occurs on State, Federal, or Private property. What I would be more curious about is why isn't the USCG helping with the recovery? As I said before though I suppose it is because they do not have the manpower for every drowning or boating incident that happens on the Great Lakes.

- I am sorry but the Coast Guard has better things to do rather than sit at a beach all day only to write tickets. Sure it could surely save lives but there is not a enough people in the Coast Guard to sit and patrol beach fronts when most of their time is taken up boarding the big shipping boats and enforcing other laws. Why isn't the Coast Guard involved in this search anyhow being I am sure their equipment is more advanced. My guess it is because they do not have the man power. This should be common sense to people that plan on swimming in the great lakes at any type of a distance away from shore. wear a life jacket. It is not only children that get swept away even the strongest swimmer could have a problem in the Great Lakes rip currents.

- What is crazy about this is that people can choose where they want to go. Business owners should have their say on what they want. Everybody has the option to decide if they want to work at a place that allows smoking just as I remember businesses have always had the right to decide to be smoke free before this ban went into play. Luckily for Indiana the ban does not mess with bars or taverns.

- Well the unfortunate thing is most of these so called police officers don't want to show up during a crime especially like this while it is in progress because they care about their safety more then the lives of the victims. Can't really blame them though considering that this is something a Gary cop has to deal with on a nightly basis.
