- I was on the other side of the story a few years ago. The paper may get some "little" things inaccurate, but not the whole story. All this boils down to is a drunken fight in a parking lot and two wannabe gangsta's ran off with someone's wallet and phone. Whether all three of these guys knew one another is completely irrelevant. There is NO reason the wallet and phone should of been stolen...PERIOD! And a little extra comment, who cares if the guy has never been in trouble with the law before...HE IS NOW!

- I have a family member who was in the jail 2 years ago and complained about everything in this article. You know what my thought was...GOOD, serves you right for being a sorry excuse of a human being. I hope the prisoners slept on feces and ate moldy food, especially those that have committed heinous crimes! Ask some poor family who has no money for food, I bet they would scrape mold off food to eat it.

- It makes me laugh to read people's comments on here. If anyone was at the school board meeting, they would understand where the comments about the "coach" bus was truly about. Those who stood and addressed the Executive Board (intelligently and about REAL issues) hit the nail on the head! Why are we spending money on new "luxury" buses when there is not enough money to staff our schools? Those talking KNEW the monies are allocated and can NOT be spent on other things, Mr. Verracco made a "donkey" of himself when he stated " you want me to break the law?" It was obvious that was not where the conversation was going with the monetary questions in regards to the buses. The board deliberately twisted the content of the questions being thrown at them. The responses back were hilarious! Point at hand . . . if Lake Central has to cut staffing because of budget cuts, why isn't everything else being decreased as well? I am NOT saying to cut out extra curricular activities, students should be well rounded with all the schools has to offer. BUT, what is more important? Making sure the marching band/ sports have enough room to go back and forth, or teach our kids in a way it SHOULD be done? What was a pressing questions at the meeting was this, "What is the Lake Central School Board trying to do to rectify the issues that are plaguing us NOW?" Who is advocating and fighting for our school? Yes, I agree we need to vote and elect our officials wisely, but we as tax payers are providing jobs for the Executive Committee and it is THEIR job to get things done! Words to live by W W V D!
