- I must have read the statute incorrectly. My take on it is a candidate cannot run for office of a political party, lose and then run again for the same office under another party in the same election cycle. I didn't understand it to mean he couldn't run under another party if he withdraws his candidacy from the first one. Just saying...I'm not a lawyer nor am I a Wilson supporter and I may very well be wrong in my interpretation, but I did get As in reading comprehension.

- You've got to be kidding, Times. How can you possibly put this article in the paper without having all of the facts? How old was the girl then...13 1/2? They were both just kids and maybe she elicited the moment. Did he rape her or was it consensual? I know they were very young, but have you seen some of the 13/14 year olds today? So what makes him a child molester and not her? Regardless of the circumstances, the whole thing is ridiculous. Why was this incident brought to light now...5 years later? Maybe she wants him and he rejected her...so she avenged to ruin him. C'mon..that's just crazy speculation on my part...just saying. But it's no different than this article. I don't know either of the parties and I don't know what happened, but I hope it ends well and this young man's life isn't ruined...that is, of course, unless he's really a sex offender now.

- My husband and I met Jorge on several occasions and he was a very responsible, respectful and all around nice young man. He always had a great big smile for everyone who came through the gates of Jellystone. Though we didn't know him well, we will surely miss him. My heartfelt condolences to his uncle and family. Just on a note...he lived part of the time in Calumet City and just recently, this year, found employment at Jellystone Park. A few weeks ago, when he was without motorized transportation, he rode his bicycle all the way from Calumet City to Portage (a 2 hour trip) just to make it to work. That says a lot about his character. Rest in peace, Jorge.

- This article isn't about the dog's owner having him euthanized. READ IT AGAIN. This happened at the grandparents' home. The child's father left the hospital and went to his mom's house to stab her dog, not his. Geez. But, that child should've been able to climb on top of that dog while he was chewing his bone without incident. I have two great big dogs that are the sweetest dogs in the world and love kids, but if I thought for one minute any of my grandchildren were ever in any danger, the dogs would be gone. Not as in dead, but given up. I would never harm my animals. If the grandfather (owner) would have had to use deadly force to get the dog off of the child, that would have been another story. This man used extremely poor judgement in leaving the hospital to do what he did,,,I agree. Makes me wonder how he handles other situations that make him angry....like a vicious dog with a bone in his mouth?

- I don't necessarily agree that most smokers are low income folks, but most low income or no income folks that get everything for little to nothing are smokers. So not only am I working to pay for my cigarettes, I'm paying for theirs, too? I have to pay for my home, my food, my health insurance, my medical bills that insurance doesn't cover, income taxes, property taxes...and the list goes on. But God help me if I don't because it can all be taken away by the government. And now they want more from me. What's wrong with this picture. I'm not rich, and this is not Nottingham!
