- Ridiculous! All my children went through LCSC! I no longer live in the Region, but still read the Times online. This argument is a worn out old trope! There is no discrimination with the mascot! Come on! If LCSC wants to get all riled up about something why don't they get all riled up about a better education for their student population? My kids did well and have all graduated from college--they even have jobs! It was without kudos to LCSC, though. It was because we supplemented at home from K-12. Besides, what will happen after 2015 when Caucasians will become the American minority? I bet we could go on the "war path" and hold all the "pow-wows" we want and they wouldn't change a Caucasian mascot for at least 200 years! The more these things are argued about, the worse they become! Leave the "Indians" alone, kimosabe! (I am in no way implying that I am in favor of genuine racial discrimination.)
