  1. I agree, it's cool that administration took action and attempted to help get rid of the lice infestation. However, if I was going to get a lice epidemic under control. I would teach families how to check for lice and how to get rid of it. Lice do not live for an extended period on hard/slick surfaces such as bus seats. Buildings do not get infested with lice, people do. A louse without access to human blood will usually die within 24 hours, and always within 48 hours. To prevent lice, we comb through our children's hair with the nit pick every week. When we find lice we tell classmates to do the same, and by teaching others (here's how I do it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TmTJWjb2bA&feature=plcp ), we prevent ourselves from getting it again.
