- I kept waiting for anything to surface in the trial about this abandoned house and the mattress and I never saw it referenced. Earlier, the prosecution submitted photos which were objected to by the defense for having no evidentiary significance. It was overruled as it was to be brought out in future testimony/witness. Never heard another word, at least in the media. Did this appear in the Post?

- You don't appeal a jury verdict, you appeal on judicial errors. I think Alexa has handled this case with consideration for both sides. No mistakes in jurisprudence here.

- I think they'll get a guilty on the first voting round. Shouldn't be long. If it is, it's a good possibility for a mistrial, but I don't think that will be the case.

- I think this jury will make quick work of this. The sentencing phase will be interesting. This is such a tragedy on so many levels. I have empathy for both sets of parents. No one in their worst nightmare would ever foresee this outcome for their child on either side. You bring children into this world with love, hope and anticipation. They're your life's work. My sympathies are equal.

- Should he have guessed his weight too? Blythe's testimony was the most irrelevant, useless waste of court time I've ever heard of. I don't think they got their money's worth with these guys.

- To add, why would he suppose pcsp would want to come to his house anyway? At this point, this was nothing other than a missing persons case, no foul play suspected. Otherwise why would the police allow her dad to tow her car back to his house? They would have impounded it for evidence on the spot.

- May we add a #9 to your list? You seemed to have left out the fact that he was 100% positively identified walking on 650 at a proximity and time congruous with the events surrounding this murder. You think the defense "expert" cellphone analysis testimony is strong enough to contradict Verizon enough to convince a jury? And that pointless blabber from Blythe? Enough. We'll know tomorrow, won't we.

- I know this is an old issue, but do most of us assume Harper got out of this case as a result of a plea bargain dispute with his client? Knowing what we know now, it would sure seem so. Just wanted to see if anybody had any first hand knowledge.
