- I would of like to have seen a 4 or 5 yr. deal get done but 3 is still decent. I'm proud to be a union steelworker and even prouder to be a part of the safest mill in the U.S. Steel family. We recently passed 2 years injury free. With over 350 employees that's quite an accomplishment. Thanks to the strong safety program installed by the joint union/management team and the commitment of all the union employees here at U.S. Steel East Chicago Tin. The hard working members of. USW local 5133 made this not only the safest mill on the Lake and in the Midwest but also all across the whole United States. Union Proud!!

- This shows me what a joke our local prosecutors and judges are. How many chances does someone get before his license is taken away completely? This clown has been nothing but a hazard on our roads. Hopefully this time they lock him up and throw away the key!

- Alcohol may have been a factor......duh?? Thank God that poor innocent truck driver, who was just doing his job, wasn't hurt by this guy. I feel sorry for him and what he now has to live with.

- Toll bridge? What a joke!! While the governor is busy decorating his office for his next gig, he expects the hard working Lake County motorists to foot the bill for this bridge. So by my math, working 6 days a week like I do and paying a $2 toll each way. I would end up paying $1200 a year to use a bridge that would save me maybe 5mins a day. Build your private toll bridge governor but my fellow coworkers and I will just keep driving through the Harbor every day like we have been for the last few years.
