wow what the hobart council should say is were to cheap to care about our citizens like the other cities. what they should do is stop giving themselves raises and worry about something important like the citizens in there city. yes privates will do it and bill the taxpayers more money than just having there municipal ems crew handle and having the money go back into the city. the problem with politcs anymore is you can always tell when they are lying, there mouths move and a lie comes out. you say you want to do what's best for your citizens then leave the ems in the fire dept and bring the money back into the city instead of having to pay a private company in and billing the city for running there calls. ask merrillville how much they had to pay prompt after there first contract expired they are in it for the money and if the citizens cant afford to pay there bill then the companies owner goes after there houses. so i think when the new elections come back up all of the council and mayor should be voted out. they only care about there pockets getting lined bigger. they say they need to find ways to cut costs then take the raises you gave everyone including yourselves but once a politician always a politician. HOBART FIRE DEPT I WILL FIGHT WITH YOU TO KEEP YOUR SERVICES IN THE CITY AND NOT FOR A PRIVATE COMPANY TO COME IN. hobart is so short handed on the fire dept that i don't want anything to happen like it did back in the 90's and another brother get taken away because the city is more worried about other things like shutting down fire houses so they only have12 on a shift instead of the 16 they should have.
