This is not an employer, as the article states it is a Apprenticeship Program at a SCHOOL. Does not appear they are CHARGING money to apply for a job. Why complain of a nominal $10 fee?

For those of you who don't understand, this is an apprenticeship program! You go to school and also work so you are not on the bottom of a hiring list. Apprentices work on-the-job with other journeymen and women (graduates) to be trained in their skill and most apprenticeship programs are 3-5 years.

Did you ever consider that maybe the $10 could be applied for part of the drug testing they state in the article is mandatory? No doubt the drug testing is way more than a nominal $10 fee. The building trades take applications yearly and there are hundreds that apply. Why would anyone complain of a $10 fee for a chance to get into a building trades organization?

Agree with Fast Ed, exactly what I have been saying. I am pretty certain that if it is a wrongful death, both parents will then be on-board to find the person(s) responsible. Just give up the missing information...

It appears that the family cannot get the information from the investigation and that is why they may have contacted an attorney. Also appears the attorney is having some difficulty obtaining the documentation, photos and videos. I am sorry the entire family has to endure not only the loss of this young man but to fight to determine the manner of his death.

The father and the family have the right to know exactly what happened to this child. Why withhold information if there is nothing to hide? It is sad that it has to take legal action to get answers. And, if this is a wrongful death, the responsible person(s) or companies need to be accountable for this child's death.

I received a letter from the hospital regarding my pension. At the bottom of the letterhead, it quotes their mission statement "To honor the dignity of life by serving as a compassionate community". What an honor it is to have to be faced with the loss of a pension! The hospital was not looking at the interests of the past employees who worked years to earn the pension!
