- They alredy d ask for more handouts....that's why portage pd sends officers over there for overtime...not sure who pays that bill though???...reserves volunteer time there too..but I guess its the proverbial finger in the dam to keep the crime west of county line

- I dont know why I am wasting my time being baited, but here goes. Please quit bashing law enforcement, (this post and the posts regarding the EX-Hobart Cop). Police have a standard set of tactics and policies that dictate how they respond to a situation. Your house would not be shot up, (as you agreed to in the other article) . Not everyone in the workd is "connected" and treated unfairly. By your name "Miss Behaving," it sounds like you have had a few run-ins with the Police, hence the negativity and hatred. Just remember to not call them when someone is breaking into your house or battering you.

- Sounds frivolous to me. Pay your debts and you wont be put in a position to be arrested for a warrant that was previously dismissed. $700,000.00. The sad thing is that this freeloader will still get money because it is cheaper to settle out of court.

- Good for the progressive thinking. West Beach, Inland Marsh, River Front Park, are all highly attended parks. Take into consideration the potential (Key Word) for the much needed development/improvement of Portage's park system, and there could be a greatly improved tourist destination for the city.
