speed racer.... my goodness, you need to move because you just named darn near all the families in the area! You've got to be old, retired and very angry at the world. for anyone remembering Frank Stodola and Chacharis and bringing them up seems strange and consumed. wow! I could care less about all those people and their convictions. However, there is one bit of evidence thats apparent on most of the bigger names that have gotten in trouble. every 20 or 30 years when there's a wave of convictions federally, it's usually when the Republicans have the power. this time around it all started with Bush/Karl Rove and all there US Attorneys/ Prosecutors following the White Houses lead in Liberal areas around the Country. Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, San Diego, Wash DC, Cleveland. All large african american population that old school politics take place. People like you want change which i can understand but the political leaders will remain liberal as long as a large minority population exists because the Crazy Republicans (Murdouck - Tea Party) are so out of the main stream that most people are scared. Please Speed Racer, go fishing or scrap book to keep yourself less consumed with LC politics. so much hatred comes out. Read "Patti knows the truth", she seems to have been fired or scorned somehow. So angry! let Tom and all the other people you named go about their way. i could care less because you, patti, me and anyone else ain't going to change it. just being real and you need to let it GO!

after following the trial in the paper, i believe PXCplanner is right. Ms. Patti, your words and feelings get very ugly when speaking about all of this. First of all, not one of these so called politicians that got caught up in their mess has "chirp like a canary" because they dont know anything. If anyone did they would have all chirpped to stay out of Club Fed. Philpot's is only guilty of running his office like it was 1980 and not 2000. this is the day of being transparent and he wasnt. i know for a fact that all the past Clerks took the same monies as Philpot did with one exception, they had Council approval. The Feds should have not indicted Philpot on this charge. they probably think he's dirty and needed a charge so they had to find something. Ms Patti please dont be so angry...... the sun will come out tomorrow and know that the Feds can indict a ham sandwich and make the charge stick.

Oh My Hunterone....."The King of Steel Town" has been gone for 9 years! Pabey, who took over as Mayor is the one in jail and "Hope with Cope" is right behind Jorge. Its been a bad week for he EC Cops and Becker. First, the murder in EC after the times PR piece on Becker, now this Cop taking undeserved payments. Since he's a Cop he'll probably get a slap on the wrist.

seriously Citizen Jane i'm worried you and so many are going to blow a gasket after Tuesday's results. Again, you can see by the polls that they are leaning to Obama in Ohio, Wis, Iowa, Pa, Va, and even Fl. Romney must sweep most of these and he's not even leading 1 poll. We all must now understand by Tuesday that the Majority is going to vote in the following;
Pres Obama, Pence for Gov, Donnelly for Sen, all the LC Dems will win in the county with only the 2 Reps races in Munster and Scher up for grabs. No matter how we all feel, good or bad, this is how these races will end up. i worry because there's no middle ground anymore. in the old days one side won and everyone became friends after. today is so polarized and people like yourself seem so angry at the world and newspaper writers that you want only to say or explain your beliefs. this Country of ours is moving in a direction you, me or anyone else can not control. i think its time to figure out how the Conservatives can come back to the middle. Speaker John Bahner is babysitting in DC. he could get so much good done with the right message but he's pinned down by people who the Majority of our Nation dont believe in. btw, you will lose your bets with the exception of Pence. Mourdock will lose by more than 11 points and everyone already knows this. i say this with high regards and dont mean any disrespect.

it appears that Joe Donnelly will win and Mourdock will fall. i'm concerned that there are so many Haters for this political process that they wont know what to do with themselves after the Election. My God Dan, and The Mark, you are making yourselves sick over this! it appears Obama will win Tuesday. Pence will win Tuesday. Donnelly will win Tuesday. the Senate will be controlled by the Dems and Congress will be controlled by the Repubs. In LC it will be a Clean sweep County wide by the Dems. The Rep races in Munster and Scher are the only races that are up for grabs. Please, just deal with the fact that Majority Rules and you have to take the Good with the Bad!!! "it is what it is"
