- Never been to any dairy farm but have watched a documentary a few years back of the torture done to the cattle at dairy farms. They are dehorned using a hot rod when the nubs are short producing smoke. When the horns are large they are chopped off. Also the cattle have their tails cut off at the base. Where do the remains go? Were they burning the remains at this time to produce so much smoke?
