The main Gary library branch should remain open ! Downsize the library space, and add the South Shore Cultural Center and Museum on the upper level. A financially sustainable plan could include retired volunteers - such as teachers, secretaries and others in our community to work in the library and the museum. The open library could contribute to more revenue patronage for the museum ! There should be no opponents - just work together !!
