First, I'd like to thank you for your very thoughtful and well-reasoned article. One note about semi-automatic vs. fully-automatic firearms. There is a lot of confusion out there on this subject. In an effort to cut through some of this confusion, here is an excellent video explaining the fundamental differences between those types of firearms.
