1. I am just curious...from the group of people that are posting that Mansards is Section 8, a bad place and comparing it to Chicagoland housing projects--how many have actually set foot inside the complex? How many actually lived there. I only ask because I live here right now and it really is offensive to me that so many people judge this complex and have never stayed or even visted someone at the community. A person was shot at The Mansards recently; this does not mean the complex is a dump or overrun by Section 8--it means that a person was shot and the event itself is unfortunate and my thoughts and prayers are with the families that are being directly impacted by this event. I find it unfortunate that so many people are quick to jump on a bandwagon of blasting The Mansards when they have no way of protecting themselves against juvenile crimes--it is AGAINST THE LAW to run criminal checks on juveniles and if you read the article--the shooter was from GARY--not The Mansards! Oh and in regards to the person who posted "another shooting at the Mansards" the other shooting that happen over a year ago was again a non-Mansard resident--I believe he and his shooters were from Chicago suburbs. Mansards residents (including myself) are not the problem. Victims of crime can happen anywhere, so don't be so quick to point fingers and pass judgement about where I live when almost every complex EVERYWHERE has crime.
