I knew that street sounded familiar. I was there visiting a HS pal FORTY years ago when it was a civilized community. 45 years ago I was taking piano lessons at the home of an Atnea resident while living in OD.

Flash forward a few decades and I returned to the Firestone store where I purchased my first set of snow tires in 1970. While killing time I walked around and noticed a "doorbell" on the side of the building. It was a PANIC button for employees who may have had the need to vacate (flee) from the building !! A few years later that Firestone was shut down.

Does anyone recall a single town, city or area that did not suffer the same fate as Atnea subsequent to the "tide of change".
