Perhaps you should discard your copy of "Increasing Your Vocabulary the Word-a-Day Way"and get your head out of the sanctimonious, scrabrously festering wedge in which it is stuck.I hate to destroy your distorted perception of self-perfection, but the majority repeat offenders who wind up in a community jail have not been to prison either, ergo, your argument has no substance. Too bad your MBA did not teach you how to formulate an argument, nor did it teach you the importance of compassion, empathy, and humility.
