- I cannot believe his family is asking the public to pay for his appeal. This whole thing sickens me. He was found guilty of murder!! What kind of people think others should foot his legal bills? Maybe if his mom didn't spend money on her new tattoos, she could have saved some of that squandered money. Its quite pathetic really.

- Raise your hand if you think this was written by one of his family members. Give me a break! You just see where this is headed and are looking for someone else to blame when he is found guilty. It couldn't be him right? It couldn't be the constant lies and shady behavior from the McCowan family right? It couldn't be the lack of witnesses the defense called right? It has to be blamed on a corrupt judge and a tainted jury. This post makes me sick. YOU are a prime example of what is wrong today. Blame everyone else. Maybe he should have taken the stand in his own defense. I know if I was innocent, I would take the stand and say, ask me anything, I have nothing to hide. But then again, we all know to that you would have to be innocent....

- I have made nothing up. Please read the article in the Chesterton paper. His dad DID deposit money in the inmates account. There were 3 inmates in total called as witnesses. Two for the prosecution, and one for the defense. The one called for the defense, Timothy Reeves, received money from Dustin's dad. It is there in black and white. More proof of shady behavior.

- I'm sorry, but the defense sure seems to be grasping at straws here, and actually making themselves look worse, if that is possible. Their witness yesterday was a career inmate who admitted that Dustin's father deposited money into his jailhouse account, and now today their witness is someone who has been convicted not once, but THREE times on providing false information during an investigation?

- What facts are there that lay anything to do with the dad to rest? Because he said so? He also answered many questions with the go to "I can't recall" when presented with a question that could hurt his son. I do not think the dad was involved in what happened to her, but I do think he got involved afterwards. If your childs girlfriend/boyfriend went missing on the way home from your house one night, and their parents came to you the next morning to see if you could provide help, would you? Would you invite them in and ask them to please let you know how you can help? Or would you stand stone face at the door and say, did they process the car? And then proceed to go to bed. Being a policeman, he could have lent his knowledge to a panicked and scared family. But instead, he chose to lend it to his (constant) law breaking son. (Hopefully my reply is at least at a 5th grade level)
