  1. Whatever happen to the investigation in Highland for theft 2011???? Does anybody know???Then lets not forget...maybe Munster and Schererville need be checked on too.Or did Highland just get lucky??

  2. If Merrillville would stop hiring thieves that take all taxpayers money maybe things would be better. Really...does the Merrillville Council think taxpayers should be held accountable for Town employees and politicians that have took $$$ and got away with it? Why should tax payers have to pay twice??? Just like when they investigated Highland for theft...hit the papers and end of story. and nobody hears about it again.Hammond too had $$$ missing @ one point if I am not mistaken.It is always the tax payers fault.NOT!

  3. why don't we(Town of Merrillville) keep broadcasting in the Times & Post Tribune that we as residents do not have Sufficient POLICE Protection.They might as well put a sign up"Welcome to Merrillville ~All Crime & Criminals are welcome here"

  4. maybe we do need more Police but they need to find the $$$$ from somewhere else instead of the disabled,elderly,low income and unemployed. I read this paper too and see how other Town & Citys have cut costs through different Depts. and not by raising property taxes.
    Come on Merrillville Politicians talk to the ones in Highland,Munster etc. Maybe they can give you some tips on how to manage your $$$$$.

How are we suppose to pay more in taxes when the unemployment rate in Merrillville is so high.My wife has been out of work for over a yr. and I have not got help from Merrillville to pay my bills.We already pay extra sewer $$$ on our Tax bills. If we let them do this they will always be adding instead of helping.We have sooooo many empty homes where people just walked away.If people would stop stealing from the Town of Merrillville maybe they could afford more Police.Oh by the way...it takes forever when you call them to come out.
