- Colleges and universities benefit from dual credit because 1) it is an effective recruitment tool for attracting new students (generates more revenue for the college), 2) increases the likelihood a student will graduate with a degree (generates more revenue for the college), 3) and decreases the time that students take to earn their degree (new college funding structure rewards faster graduation - generates more revenue for the college). Eventually, students will be able to earn an Associate's degree in high school, helping Indiana, and America, reach the Lumina Foundation's Big Goal - to increase the percentage of Americans with high-quality degrees and credentials to 60 percent by the year 2025. Dual credit is here to stay...
