  7. This Op-ed, like most is baseless rhetoric of one persons opinion. It's normally devoid of fact and rarely mentions any statistics. Frequently it opens up a forum to debate, yet most comments go off on a tangent relevent to the topic. The forum is primarily a means to increase reader participation in hopes of an increase in circulation. In short most Op-Eds of this nature are a sham. They really don't care what your opinion is, they've already stated theirs.
