- This is something that can't be predicted and does happen. Previous administration did nothing with the infrastructures in this community. what did the previous admissions do to lake station? This city had not changed in 20 years until this administration came in. no work on the roads, no work in the parks, no beautification, nothing. I said these water main breaks happen in other communities and yes you might have another depending on how the weather acts.

- It's not the mayors fault it's the previous administration that did Absolutley nothing in this city for years and years. Water main breaks are common I all communities, the cause is usually mild weather followed by cold temps. Ask any community they go through this all the time

- why does the little league feel they own the kids and where they get to play? the reason little league is not playing on the field is because lake station little league wanted the concession they had their hands in the cookie jar for years and for them that was a deal breaker. does that make sense to anyone???? Check police records i heard Lake Station little league has had it's share of issues. I for one want my tax dollars going to parks and community.Having lake station kids play in their hometown and on new ballfields and new equipment instead of Hobart is great for the children and the community. it's a shame most of you can't see that. when it comes down to it, it's about the kids. Sports in general is a great way to teach kids discipline, respect, and listening skills. like i said before if it was up to most of these citizens in Lake Station they don't want to see any tax money go into anything. so if you think that Lake Station parks is under utilized don't you think this is a great way to start utilizing them? I think betsy is a little jealous of how great the mayor and council is transitioning this city into something it's never seen before. Unfortunately it seems like it's always the residents of this great city that do not like to see things advance.

- Really revenue concession is that big of a cash cow? seriously? City has to account for everything they buy through state board of accounts and I'm sure the City will probably put any revenue back into the field or equipment. i would like to see the little leagues financial books. yeah to me it seems like most people don't want to spend any tax payers money on anything, but how else are you suppose to build a community. Having lake station kids play in their hometown and on new ballfields and new equipment instead of Hobart is great for the children and the community. it's a shame most of you can't see that. when it comes down to it, it's about the kids. Sports in general is a great way to teach kids discipline, respect, and listening skills. to me it seems like none of this mattered to the people that run lake station little league. to me it seems like lake station little league is the one that had free revenue for years and are use to that little extra in their pockets and not really concern about the kids or little league or field maintenance. Look at the Senior league field on Marquette rd. it looks like no one plays on that field during the summer. weeds growing in the infield and long weeds under the bleachers (or what's left of the bleachers) it's a sad site when you drive by.

- It wasn't about control for the city. for the city it was truly about the kids, it was the little league that were adamant that they maintain the concession. of course the city offered to take over the little league and have the coaches and parents just coach and watch their kids play nothing else, but little league wanted control of the concession. If the city was willing to take care of everything why did the little league want the concession so bad? financially the little league has been struggling and if you want to know about little league and concession ask for their financial records and do the math it doesn't add up financially
