  1. niki....I have read many articles in magazines about "civil unions", which stated that in some states, a civil union is the same as being married. I'm not sure what state you live in or what states have "civil unions". I do know that homosexuals are not going to be satisfied until they re-define the meaning of the word marriage. As for over 1000 benefits of marriage, my husband and I celebrated 52 years before he passed away, and I can't begin to count that many. Also,I would be interested to know why you are in a "civil union" if there are no benefits?

  2. That's it folks. The three athiests have spoken. As for me, even if there is no God, I would be glad I believefd, because I think the life I've lived is a good one. I'd rather live my life believing in God, and find out there isn't, than to live my life not believing in God, and find out that there is. Do any of you athiests know that practically every hospital and most of our charitible organizations in this country were originallys started by the churches? Also, many of our colleges were started by the churches...such as Harvard, Yale, William and Mary, Notre Dame, St. Joseph, etc. etc. Of course, now, most of them are full of communist professors who want no part of Christianity. Sad but true.

  3. Homosexuals can have all the financial benefits of marriage in a "Civil Union", but they are not satisfied with that. They insist on changing the centuries old definition of marriage because they want everyone to accept it and say that it's normal. It's not normal. Marriage means a husband and wife, not husband and husband, or wife and wife. And if we change the definition of marriage, what's to stop multiple marriage, or relatives marrying one another, or for that matter, a human and their pet. Redefining marriage is opening a wide door to a whole lot of other things. Number one would probably be that Christian ministers who believe homosexuality is a sin, would end up having to perform homosexual marriages against their will. Believe me, the homosexual community would push for that. I recently read an article about a Christian lady who refused to do a wedding cake for a homosexual couple and was sued over it. A liberal judge ruled that she had no right to refuse them. Don't think for one minute that there won't be repercussions for making same sex marriage legal. If it's just about their loving one another and wanting to make a life together, then Civil Unions should be good enough. But that's not what they want.

    As a white person, I can tell you that I am not judging Obama by his color. He could be green for all I care. I have black friends, I go to a church that has a mixture of black, white, and Hispanic people as members. We all consider ourselves as Christian brothers and sisters. The reason that I don't like Obama is his policies. He has done nothing good for this country. He just tells people what they want to hear, and then procedes to do as he pleases, whether it's good for the country or not. (Mostlyit's not.) If he would quit telling lies, stop taking million dollar vacations every other week, stop appointing Socialist/Communists into high government positions, and stop going around Congress with his executive orders, and start really standing up for this country, then I would be the first to sing his praises. But that hasn't happened since he took office. I do respect the office of President of the United States, but I cannot look at what Obama has done since being elected and respect him. He has not earned any respect with his actions.

We all know that you're a worshipper of the almighty Obama. I really believe that he could murder someone in cold blood and you would defend his action. Oh, wait, I think that's almost happened a couple of times. Oh, I forgot, everything bad that's happend during the last 5 years is still Bush's fault. What a joke you are.

  8. The Word of God does not change. It's the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. By what you want changed, you're throwing out some of God's laws. You need to read the New Testament more closely. The Apostle Paul warned us that the day would come when many false teachers would try to turn us away from God's truth. That's what is happening today. Because man wants his own way, he starts to change things to suit himself. That's now what this world is currently doing.
