  2. That was quite a good game to watch. My children attend Edison but there were times I was cheering for 21st Century just because they were so fun to watch. Sportsmanship on both sides seemed pretty good from where I was sitting. Can't wait to watch these two teams play again in the future.

  5. Several kids will be happy about the skate park. There was a mistake in the article about Little League using the fields but no need to get everyone's panties in a bunch...it was a simple mistake. Glad to see the city taking advantage of grant money that is out there.

  7. I do have MY facts straight. I coached his daughter and he helped me and was a football coach for his son. Maybe he didn't coach in the most recent season but the season in 2011 he was most definately a coach! I was in no way saying anything negative about Lake Station Pop Warner (despite my personal feelings towards the organization) but was stating that someone who is so good with kids, was an involved parent, and a good coach fooled a lot of people because I, for one, did not see this coming from someone like him. Try to calm down and research YOUR facts before you say I don't have facts together!

  8. A Pop Warner coach with a couple of kids...nice, real nice. Seemed like a nice enough guy. Just goes to show you anyone can hide anything about themselves...but only for so long.

  9. This is the problem...SIXTH TIME!!! Anyone driving while intoxicated or under the influence should be thrown in jail...no exceptions!!! It is a CHOICE to drink (or use drugs) and drive...it's not like it just happened by accident. Too many people are hurt and killed by idiots like this. There must be stiffer punishments and a zero tolerance with a harsh first offender sentence for every one of these creeps who drive when they know they shouldn't. We, as a society, must demand it!

  10. It really saddens me to see all of the judgemental comment on here. My son, 19, should have graduated this past spring, and attends this school. My son is not a trouble maker and did not get kicked out of his previous school (or any school, for that matter). My son made some mistakes in high school like being the class clown, not turning in some assignments, etc. and it put him behind in credits. He realized his mistakes and wanted to try to do the right thing by heading back to school and finish his credits to earn his diploma. He has been doing well there and has not had any problems so far. It is a shame that the few who get into fights and cannot behave ruin things for the rest of the people wanting to better themselves and their situations by going to school. I am proud of my son for not giving up and working towards his goal of a diploma so he can continue on to college. Please don't judge all the students on the behavior of these few who obviously were not there for the right reasons. Thank you.
